It’s finally summertime and everyone is looking for the perfect shades to wear. Here are five fabulous brands I discovered at this year’s Vision Expo that you will want to check out on National Sunglass Day.
ROXY has been empowering girls to live their dreams and explore the world since 1990. This adventure-inspired brand motivates women to be active and engaged. ROXY is the “original” surf brand for women, inspired by the mountains and the waves. Remaining true to their brand, they design eyewear for high performance activities, but also sell fashionable shades with trendy colors and styles. My two favorite styles are “Jill” (black frames with a double bridge and grey lenses that fit great on small frame faces) and the “Uma” (black frames with pink metallic-mirrored lenses.)

Los Angeles-based Moni Moni handbag designer Cinzia Moniaci created a boho rock inspired eyewear collection made in Italy. A “Moni Moni” girl is someone who doesn’t follow trends, as she sets them and knows how to have fun with it. There’s an ‘M’ with a heart on every bridge and the tips of the arms are also shaped like a heart. Moni Moni’s eyewear cases, looks like little French bags and have straps and a compartment for cellphones too. Check out Moni Moni website, their collection will be posted soon.
