October 8th, 2014 marked the 58th anniversary of the first and only perfect game in a World Series Game in MLB history. It truly was an “Amazin” day at the Steiner Sports store in Roosevelt Field. Former Mets pitchers Sid Fernandez and Ron Darling came to Steiner on September 13, 2014 to meet their passionate New York and Long Island fans and of course, sign their beloved memorabilia. Accompanying the players was current utility man, the multi-position Eric Campbell to just to throw in a touch of youth. On August 18th, New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, third baseman Chase Headley and All Star reliever Dellin Betances came to Steiner Sports at Roosevelt Field Mall for a special signing. It was the first public signing for Brett since last season and the first for Headley and Betances since joining the Yankees. Fans young and old came to see their idols in person and have team memorabilia signed, making the memory of a lifetime.
