The 72nd Annual Golden Globes is one awards show that could not be complete without our two cents on the best style moments of the night. While this was not, in our humble opinion, the best-dressed Globes ever, there were still a handful of luxuriously-composed looks that truly stood out dramatically from the pack. Not to mention, awards shows make for some great new memes on social media and eyeglasses get their own Twitter. Lupita Nyong’o The actress’ gorgeously petaled, purple ombre Giambattisa Valli frock might have been seen for miles, just like her matching violet eyeshadow. It was the 12…

Brooklyn will soon be experiencing a taste of one of WMC’s favorite DJs. Oscar G, most known for bringing urban-based beats to his native Miami and many other parts of the states, is setting up for a new kind of hip tomorrow night on Williamsburg’s North Side. Output NYC is a club whose value of underground music over bottle service has made it a community mecca for those who adore the dirty beats and clean venue, yet despise red carpet pop-ups and paparazzi-infused faux pas. LIB Magazine will be partying with Oscar G at Output, and we want to see…
The year might have just started, but multifaceted artist and entrepreneur Maurice Perdreau is already taking the NYC art scene by storm. In January alone, Maurice has set out to change the world’s interpretation of finger painting. Since August 2014, Perdreau’s awe-inspiring, completely hand-done compositions have been seen New York Fashion Week, RAW Artists Brooklyn and now at New Century Artists exhibition in Chelsea (with a major opening reception tonight) with an upcoming exhibit and Soho cruise for RAW Artists on Wednesday, January 21. Maurice developed an affinity for paint while attending law school at Georgetown University, which he describes…

.. and the feeling is completely mutual. LOVE Nightclub hosted bubbly Bravo Real Housewives of New Jersey sweetheart Amber Marchese (who LIB mag previously linked up with at Mio Posto) and VH1 Mob Wives’ star/hot grandmother “Big Ang” Raiola at the venue’s first ever Home for the Holidays event on December 20, 2014. The ladies arrived festively dressed and ready to greet adoring reality fans, who sipped cosmopolitans while perusing Big Ang wine and new Vektor Vodka. Amber was surrounded by the gurus at Royal Fitness, who came to party at the stylish lounge with their pretty, crimson-lipped brand ambassador. …

Apple Iphone and Ipad users can now show they care, just by purchasing games. In November, Apple announced a partnership with Product (RED) which uses 100% of funds from (RED) app purchases to help The Global Fund combat AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. This includes app and in-app purchases made through today, December 7. The movement has previously been endorsed by retailers like GAP and many celebrities, but Apple’s support is likely to have an extreme impact on helping the charity and increasing awareness in Iphone 6, Ipad users and anyone else who uses iOS. 5 of Our Favorite Project (RED)…
Let me begin by saying, Deco 1600 is a truly “modern” brunch, located at a venue that refuses to sacrifice class or integrity. Though merely noon, Deco’s quaintly elegant brunch held admist European flair, had guests nestled comfortably amongst a blazing fireplace. A guitarist arrived to serenade the room with a velvety flamenco tune; a welcome break from the booming downtown vibe of select competitors. And most importantly.. The French toast was awesome. Brioche French Toast with fresh bananas and mixed fruit – 5 stars Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon and hollandaise -5 stars Mimosa and soft drink refills…
Well, this is interesting. Two months after Ray Rice was cut by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely from the NFL for beating his then-fiancé in an elevator, the 27-year old football athlete has been given the right to “play immediately” if signed by a new team. A statement by NFL spokesman Greg Aiello stated: “Ray Rice is a free agent and has been eligible to be signed by an NFL team since he was released by the Ravens. Based on Judge Jones’ decision, he will be eligible to play upon signing a new contract.” Thoughts??
