Several breweries and bands are joining forces to create collaboration beers. El Segundo Brewing, an independent craft brewery from California, teamed up with the American rock band 311 to create the Come Original IPA.
311 is a mix of rock, reggae, hip-hop, and funk and the Come Original IPA has a mix of Simcoe, Mosaic, and Chinook hops. “Come Original” has tropical driven flavors, moderate bitterness, and is subtly sweet. It has a 7% abv but is easy to drink and has a clean finish. This is the perfect beer to bring to a summer concert tailgate or the beach.
Mast Landing Brewing Company from Westbrook, ME also created some music related brews. The Tell All Your Friends beer was named after the legendary Taking Back Sunday album Tell All Your Friends is an imperial stout aged in rye whiskey barrels with chilies, Madagascar vanilla beans, and cinnamon. If you love a mix of sweet and heat, this beer is for you. Also keep in mind it contains dairy, don’t consume if you’re lactose intolerant. Mast Landing Brewing also made an Armor for Sleep beer named after their song “Dream To Make Believe”. This beer is also a rye barrel-aged stout made with Madagascar vanilla beans, medium roast coffee from Rwanda Bean, and lactose. Mast Landing also made Spitalfield beer named after their song “Remember Right Now”. This imperial aged stout contains 50 pounds of Belgian chocolate and is finished off with a homemade chocolate sauce made with the Belgian cocoa & lactose.
If you love beer and bands definitely check out these awesome collaborations.
