Snap back to the 90s with the latest vintage gear at EastWest in Huntington Village on the North Shore. Owner, Jesse Moss, stays ahead of the fashion game by reminiscing about the styles of his youth, “I remember wearing snapbacks, playin’ basketball and listening to Hip Hop in ’93.”
Moss consistently keeps the ideas flowing: new and vintage tee styles, modern yet classic accessories and stylish kicks for men and women at an affordable price. As someone born and raised in Commack, Long Island, he has been successful in bringing the trends of urban streetwear to the suburbs. EastWest’s recent apparel from winter included the freshest crew neck sweaters, scarves, gloves, pom pom beenies and varsity jackets.
EastWest’s name comes from the idea that it represents the East coast and West coast –the classic and the contemporary. “I want to deliver for the masses of people who want something different from what the masses have.”

East West is a result of a music / apparel store called Royal Tees that Moss’s mother opened in the early 90s. In 1996, the current Huntington Village store was opened, at which point 70s and 80s clothes were in style, which meant bell bottom pants for the ladies and the fellas! Soon thereafter, the store began building partnerships with familiar brands like 10Deep, Crooks and Castles and Mitchell and Ness. Moss describes it as “having the right idea at the right time.”
The near future of EastWest entails a possible 2013 clothing line, EastWest version hats, as well as potential fashion shows at the high profile and nearby Paramount venue. The last promotion EastWest did was a free ticket giveaway and the ability to win backstage passes to meet Snoop Dogg when he performed there. One of the latest endeavors EastWest has worked on is “The Bleach Denim Project” with Just Don. So check them out and keep up-to-date with the latest in fashion and music culture at East West.
