New Found Glory celebrated their 20th anniversary of their Catalyst album by playing the entire album in full at The Paramount for a sold out show. Old school fans as well as new younger fans along with their parents packed out The Paramount to hear this legendary album. The stage was decorated by the iconic Catalyst artwork created by Gunnar Gaylord.
When New Found Glory hit the stage they were missing their guitarist, Chad Gilbert, who is home battling cancer. Dan O’Connor, the guitarist from Four Years Strong, filled in for Chad so the Catalyst tour could go on, but Chad was well-missed. Gilbert is the heart of the band and fans even wore shirts saying ChadBall Get Well soon in support.
Bassist, Ian Grushka, shared with fans that he used to live in Smithtown before moving to Florida to join New Found Glory. While visiting he embraced his New York roots by indulging in a cold slice of pizza from Little Vincent’s before the show.
New Found Glory played their Catalyst album including in full including “All Downhill From Here” “This Disaster” and “Failure’s Not Flattering”. The band played their other hits including “Hit or Miss” and ” My Friends Over You”, as well as their Disney covers “Part of Your World” and ” Let it Go”. Fans sang along for a fun night filled with nostalgia from the Kings of Pop Punk.
