Silverstein’s 25 Years of Noise Tour came to The Paramount in Huntington. Opening bands included Split Chain from the UK, Arm’s Length from Canada, and Thursday from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Thursday has been a band for over 27 years and was on the same Victory label as Silverstein in the early 2000s. Thursday lead vocalist Geoff Rickly joked that Victory didn’t last but Silverstein and Thursday are still going strong. Everyone went crazy when Thursday played “Understanding In A Car Crash”, but the crowd was basically there for Silverstein.
Silverstein played songs from every album in reverse chronological order to celebrate 25 years of being a band. They shared old footage including clips from small venues, Warped Tour, practices and more. They opened the show with their recent singles “Skin and Bones” and “Confession” off their upcoming album Antibloom. Other hits included “Massachusetts”, “Bad Habits “Your Sword Versus My Dagger”, and “Call it Karma”. Silverstein performed an acoustic version of “My Heroine” and “The End” which had the crowd singing along. Told joked that the crowd was louder in Buffalo but then admitted Long Island was actually louder. Silverstein’s encore included “Smashed Into Pieces” “My Heart Bleeds No More” from When Broken is Easily Fixed which had people moshing, crowd surfing and singing along. Silverstein is a band that always consistently puts on a great live show and the 25 Years of Noise Tour definitely did not disappoint.
