The days of going to seedy bars and pounding speed rack alcohol is all but over for me. Don’t get me wrong; occasionally watching a rerun is fun and all.. but I am more interested in first-run movies.

The Village Cigar Headquarters in Patchogue came along at the perfect time for me. Miguel Baez, owner of VCH, once again brought a piece of Key West to Patchogue Village. Last Friday they brought vendors from the world renowned Montecristo Cigar Company, a brand named after Alexandre Dumas’ novel The Count of Monte Cristo. This smokable work of art is the embodiment of that pièce de résistance. The premium cigar was founded in 1935 in Cuba and has been a staple in every cigar smoker’s humidor ever since.
