Love mainstream TV or hate it, the MTV Video Music Awards have had enough epic moments to break anybody’s “I’m never watching an awards show on cable” rule. Slide on for a handful of our favorite outfits and fashion moments. What was yours?
1. Miley’s Pants
Her nude bikini and giant finer might have been the talk of last year’s VMAs, but Miss Cyrus shocked the crowd in an entirely new way last night — by sending a homeless man to the stage. Hats off to you, Miley, and thanks for keeping your black leather Alexandre Vauthier slacks on with silvery sandals.
2. Rita Ora’s Red Dress – and Reaction to Nikki Minaj
Ok, chances are Nikki Minaj was not trying to offend the red-lipped, British singer.. but wow.
On a lighter note, Rita looked absolutely stunning in Donna Karan Atelier.
3. All Three of Iggy Azalea’s Outfits
Though she shockingly walked away without any awards, the 7 VMA-nominated Iggy was fit for the runway.. three times. The hip hop vixen’s custom silver Versace cutout-bodice gown transitioned to a divalicious web-patterned bodysuit for her “Black Widow” performance with Ora. Personal favorite? Iggy’s semi-sheer, black and white gown made chiffon look sexy, not frilly.

4. Beyonce and Blue Ivy
Bae showed up on the red carpet in all black Tom Ford couture, changed to a Zuhair Murad dress in dark red (both gowns were bound with front and side cutouts). She then bedazzled in Fall 2014’s popular mosaic-themed fashion in the form of a jeweled bodysuit also crafted by Ford. Baby Blue was a glamorous lady in her billowy, golden dress and metallic Mary Janes.
