The Long Island Fight Club was created to help raise money and donations for the children who have cancer and currently live at the “in-patient” facility at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. The event included multiple raffles and two musical performances. Music was being played by a DJ all night keeping the crowd anticipated for the next fight. These events take place once a month, at different locations, and feature an 8 Man Tough Guy Charity Boxing Event. The Fight Club has had success in their first three events and hope to continue raising money and donations at…

Amityville’s Club Revolution was the site for the double album release of artists The Season and Lifestat. The Seasons album is called “The 631 EP” which can be heard at The Season 631. Lifestat’s album is called Significant. Both albums are great examples of Long Island’s Hip Hop talent. The Season’s album had a very personal feel to it, full of very deep messages and references in them. Love the rawness and emotion Season put into his music. Lifestat’s album is great from start to finish there is a song…
Write up by John Milovcic It’s rare that a rapper becomes a cultural icon. Long Beach California’s Snoop Dogg has become just that. It has been 20+ years since he released Doggystyle. More than two decades since we first heard Gin and Juice, What’s my Name, or his version of Lodi Dodi. He is an actor, I guess. I only say I guess because he really plays himself, or a version of himself, on film. He has made appearances in movies like Half Baked, Old School, or 2004’s Starsky and Hutch, he can be considered an actor. He made…
April 23, 2015 Legends in the hip hop game D-Block along with Wu Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and Inspectah Deck headlined a concert at The Emporium where Ghostface had appeared earlier this year. What ensued on this semi-Spring night in Patchogue was a show of real gritty old school hip hop classics. It was a far cry from Young Thug/Iggy “swag rap” that has started to become mainstream. Even though Inspectah Deck didn’t hit the stage until nearly 1:30am, the hip hop guru made the place go wild, performing two hits amongst the crowd in addition to his presence onstage. All three…

Crazed fans at The Emporium were crowdsurfing…
Friday April 3, 2015- Amityville Music Hall was graced with hip hop’s underground legend Sage Francis. Sage was one of my favorite rappers growing up appearing in all the skating VHS’s I grew up watching. It was a pleasure to capture all the moments on the stage of Sage and the other artists. Amityville Music Hall has a hometown feel to it so I shot this whole concert with my 50 mm lense, to give you a more up close feel to the artists. As for the photos: Everything from this performance looks amazing in black and white. Status, The…
