It was a full house last Saturday as Labor Day weekend rolled in. The Emporium celebrated LDW with Sean Paul. Fans gathered at the Great South Bay Festival The first day of the Great South Bay Festival was ladies’ night. Thursday night belonged to Rachel Platten, Colbie Caillat, and Christina Perri performing on the Blue Point Brews Stage. Currently, the three are on their all female tour, “The Girls Night Out, Boys Can Come Too Tour.” Rachel Platten’s chart topping song, “Fight Song,” opened the festival. The Como Brothers Band recently finished their recording their new album Imagination EP. The Como Brothers Band came to Patchogue’s 89 North last Friday night to showcase the albums. This event was sponsored by Long Island Cares, is a local charity founded by the late Harry Chapin. Their vision is to create a hunger- free Long Island. They provide food when and where needed, while promoting self- sufficiency and public education. People were asked to bring a non- perishable food item to donate.
