HEMPSTEAD, NY (September 14, 2014) Hempstead Board of Education President Lamont Johnson wants Nicki Minaj to speak at Hempstead High School. The news comes from a statement released shortly after the “Anaconda” performer was rejected from speaking at her former LaGuardia High School in Queens, where she principal barred her from an attempt to help motivate students. However, Long Island’s Hempstead School District, which has fallen into some recent hardships, feels a visit and possible speech from Ms. Minaj would provide a positive boost to their students. President Johnson has sent a letter to Ms. Minaj asking her to consider it.
