Two former Little League buddies reunited and bonded over the love of home-brewing. They started out garage brewing together, and now are opening up an official tasting room in Bayshore called Destination Unknown.
Long Island craft beer enthusiasts, you have to try these new local brews.
Destination Unknown’s co-owner Chris Candiano describes this beer as a “skull fucker.” This beer is light, easy to drink; perfect for summer. High proof and easy to drink, my kind of beer!
Saison D’Hiver (dark saison) 7.7 abv
This Saison is rated high on untappd.com and is currently the strongest beer at Destination Unknown!
This breakfast stout made with local Long Island coffee is light and flavorful. Remember, you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning. Even though stouts are usually considered a winter beer you won’t wait to wait until then to try this beer.
SMaSH (single malt single hop) 5.2
Even though this is a simplistic recipe for beginning home-brewers, the flavor of the malt and hops will have you coming back for more.
Destination Unknown will be opening up their tasting room on Friday May 8th at 5pm. There will be guest taps by other Long Island favorites and food provided by Noodles & Co. Don’t miss it!
