Both ladies agree that customer service is crucial to their success. They treat everyone who comes in as if she was a friend. The staff greets customers as they enter, arrange dressing rooms and equally as important, the girls try not to be overbearing and “salesy”.
The boutique holds brands like Haviana flip flops and Free People, but Rodriquez and Kroman also like to support local designers such as Carelton, a Long Island-based label previously exclusive to surf shops in the area. The boutique also carries Rich Gypsy, a jewelry line created by Kroman’s sister, Lindsay.
The two described some of their biggest sellers have been rompers, denim shorts, and those sweaters with lace insets that everyone seems to be wearing.
While this is their first location, the House of Bleu friends/partners hope it will not be their last, stating there are “Others to come.”
