SummerStage Anywhere with Amazon Music Series (Amazon Music Twitch) at 7:00PM ET: Performances from Rafa Pabon (Live from NYC), Jay Wheeler and Gabylonia. Rafa Pabón is a Puerto Rican musician known for his urbano songs. In June 2020, he released the protest song and music video, “Sin Aire (Without Air),” in response to the killing of George Floyd and Eric Garner, police brutality and racial inequality in the United States. Hailing from Guayamo, Puerto Rico, Jay Wheeler is an emerging artist who, in the span of five years, has positioned himself as one of the new romantic voices in reggaeton. Gabylonia, born in Caracas, Venezuela, was introduced to hip-hop by her younger brother “Chiky” at an early age. What started off as a hobby grew to much more when Gabylonia joined group Escuadron X in 1999. After some time with the group, she decided to go solo and in 2014 was invited to participate in Hip Hop al Parque, the biggest Hip Hop en Espanol Festival in Latin America. That same year, Gabylonia was nominated for a Latin Grammy for her collaboration with the legendary Rock en Espanol group Jarabe de Palo for the song “Somos.”

SummerStage Anywhere Encore Performance (SummerStage YouTube, SummerStage Facebook, SummerStage Instagram Live) at 5:00PM ET presents special encore performances fromRema, Patoranking and Sudan Archives. Rema is at the forefront of a generation of hitmakers taking African music around the world. He’s been cosigned by a who’s who of global publications and platforms, including Fader, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone which listed “Iron Man” among its best 50 songs of 2019. Patoranking is an award-winning Nigerian reggae· dancehall singer, songwriter and performing artist who was recently. named the Apple Up Next Artist in June 2020 and included in Barack Obama’s Summer 2019 Playlist. He has gained popularity and risen to prominence in the Nigerian music industry with his unique blend of dancehall and reggae music, and select african percussion lines. Violinist, singer, songwriter and producer Sudan Archives will release her debut album Athena this November on Stones Throw Records. With its unique blend of influences and styles, it is the definitive statement from a truly groundbreaking artist.

SummerStage Anywhere For The Love of DANCE, A National Dance Day Celebration (SummerStage Instagram) Seven diverse dance companies from around the country have contributed excerpts of their works, which will air every hour on the hour from 12:00PM ET – 8:00PM ET on SummerStage’s Instagram Live channel. The final hour, beginning at 8:00PM ET and streaming on SummerStage Instagram, SummerStage YouTube, Facebook page and Twitch channels, will feature video messages from special guest dance notables, a re-stream of the original dance film “Lift Every Voice”, four/four presents “TETHERED”, featuring music by Jon Batiste and film premieres by Arielle Rosales of Soles of Duende, followed by four/four presents, “TETHERED VIII, A Love Letter to New York,” co-curated and produced by guest presenters. The day of programming is meant to be a message of hope and solidarity with the dance community, not only of New York, but across the country and the world.
