Wine connoisseurs gathered at the Cradle of Aviation Museum for Taste of Flight, the largest wine event on Long Island. Attendees checked their coats, received a souvenir wine glass and began swirling, smelling and sipping delicious wines while viewing historic aircraft on display.
VIP guests began food and wine tastings one hour early and received an exclusive pairing: The Ferrari Champagne and Tuna Crudo courtesy of Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas. These wines are great paired with cheeses, chocolate or creamy desserts. If you are looking for a great wine for a romantic night or for a sweet after dinner treat definitely grab a bottle.
Apple of my Eye If you are a cider lover, definitely try Angry Orchard Iceman Hard Cider. You will be attracted to the artwork on the bottle, but totally sold by its crisp apple taste and notes of caramel and toffee. This full-flavored cider will be sure to please your palate.
Chocolate & Wine: A Perfect Pair
JoMart Chocolates, a family of confectioners since 1946, sampled their prosecco chocolate truffles. This decadent treat is proof this family business is still going strong.
Swine with Your Wine I followed my nose to the booth of Bespoke Bacon, who was sampling gourmet bacon and beer-bacon-jam spread on crackers. This mouth-watering jam is made from stout beer, muscovado sugar, vidalia onions and of course, bacon.
Chauffeurs on Location Drinking is fun, but it is important to be responsible. Late Night Chauffeurs is the most reliable designated driving service on Long Island. A chauffeur drives you and your party in your car home, and another car will follow and pick up the chauffeur. This enables you to drive to your location yourself and not worry about having to worry about leaving your car behind. Late Night Chauffeurs were at Taste of Flight enabling attendees to have a good time and a safe way home.

Taste of Flight provided an elegant evening for couples, a girl’s night out, or evening with friends. It is not too early to mark your calendar for next year’s first-class wine experience.
