Every monday from 6-9pm, Carlyle on the Green offers a seafood buffet for $35 per person, which includes some of the best lobster served on Long Island. If that wasn’t already enough to convince you it’s worth the $35 price tag, the buffet also includes steamers, mussels, fried calamari, shrimp scampi, corn on the cob, fried chicken, fish and chips, dessert bar, and much more on the menu. Lobster Mondays are serenaded with live music by The Smooth Sounds of Johnny Avino.

When I first entered the restaurant I was greeted with a friendly smile from manager John Marin who gave me a brief tour of the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful view of the golf course at Bethpage State Park. Luckily it was a nice day and outdoor seating right off the golf course was available for diners. The atmosphere was nice enough that you could feel comfortable wearing business casual or semiformal attire. Well dressed, friendly waiters were ready when needed.

While eating, The Smooth Sounds of Johnny Avino’s jazz quintet ran through a set of classics including Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, creating an ambiance that pairs perfectly for a date night or a night out with the family. Guests ranged from younger couples to a large group of elderly friends. Anyone who would enjoy some easy listening – with a fantastic view – would enjoy Lobster Mondays at Carlyle on the Green.
Lobster Mondays run every monday from 6pm-9pm throughout summer, rain or shine at Taste 99 Restaurant overlooking the famous Bethpage Black at Bethpage State Park. Carlyle on the Green is open 7 days for dinner, Wednesdays are “party in the Park” with a 70s cover band. Carlyle on the Green has gained repeated recognition for their upscale nightlife events, weddings and private parties.. and it just keeps getting better.
