Sage Francis Brings Underground Hip Hop to Amityville

Friday April 3, 2015- Amityville Music Hall was graced with hip hop’s underground legend Sage Francis.

Sage was one of my favorite rappers growing up appearing in all the skating VHS’s I grew up watching. It was a pleasure to capture all the moments on the stage of Sage and the other artists. Amityville Music Hall has a hometown feel to it so I shot this whole concert with my 50 mm lense, to give you a more up close feel to the artists. As for the photos: Everything from this performance looks amazing in black and white.

Status, The Season, D-Wise – this hip-hop crew trio brought there never-ending energy to the stage. Next up, The Boonie Goons who fed the crowds’ ears and stomachs — the group threw sandwiches out into the crowd.  Ancient Tongue rocked the stage and got everyone ready for Sage. Sage Francis came and finished strong. Performing all of his classics as well as some new songs. Sages stage presence was great no DJ, nothing just him his Laptop and a lot of baby powder. I felt like a young kid in awe yet again. It was another great night of local music and talent.
