Growing up, girls dream of being beautiful princesses and boys pretend they are heroes saving the day. Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes provide a collaboration of Disney favorites on ice that are timeless for young Disney fans, and adults who remember the classic tales.

Disney Princesses and Heroes brought the magic to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Friday, January 9, 2015.  The ice show featured Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, Snow White and Prince Charming, Belle and the Beast, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Ariel and Prince Eric, Cinderella and the Prince, Aurora and Prince Stefan, and Elsa and Anna of Frozen.

The blend of characters is a great mix of old and new favorites!

The show had great costumes, exotic sets and plenty of special effects. Pyrotechnics during Aladdin allowed the lovable genie to pop out of the lamp to the voice of Robin Williams. However, the highlight of this classic tale was the Arabian princess and prince skating to “A Whole New World”.

Disney Ice veterans Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs featured amazing costumes and the whole audience sang along to “Heigh-Ho!”  During Beauty and Beast’s “ Be our Guest’, skaters dressed as the famous Napkin, Fork, Knife, and Spoon place danced around on the ice – its was awesome!

However, Chip the little teacup seemed to be missing from that number.
