The OddBall Comedy and Curiosity Tour

By Lauren Jablonski on September 16, 2015 Nightlife

The OddBall Comedy and Curiosity Tour brought together the hottest stars in comedy. Long Island’s own Amy Schumer stole the show at Jones Beach. Schumer got her break in 2007 on Season 5 of Last Comic Standing when she came in 4th. Now, Schumer has her own show on Comedy Central, “Inside Amy Schumer,” and a starring role in Judd Apatow’s latest movie,“Trainwreck.” Despite her recent fame, Schumer professes, “I’m a normal girl open about fucking.” Schumer opened the show reminiscing about how she got fingered in a port-o-potty during one of the first concerts she attended at Jones Beach. Schumer talked about how she was recently hacked, and she found out her most popular Google search is, “Can I drink on these antibiotics and do they make my birth control worthless?”

DSC_0150Schumer is proud to be a normal-looking girl, not a starving Hollywood actress. Amy Schumer said when she was a child she looked like “a jack-o-lantern with tits.” This 34-year-old comedianne claims her body looks like it is “slowly melting” and resembles the body of her 18-month-old niece. In a body image-obsessed society, Amy Schumer has become the poster child for the average girl, and her fans love her for it.
After Schumer’s set, Aziz Ansari closed the show. Ansari talked about relationships and promoted his book, Modern Romance: An Investigation. However, Aziz didn’t live up to his expectations, and several ticket holders walked out after Schumer’s set.

Nevertheless, here are the funniest “curiosities” that comedians pondered during The OddBall Comedy and Curiosity Tour sets:
    1) What race is Jesus?
“Have you ever met a white guy named Jesus?” asked Michael Che.

    2) Should we ban Antibiotics in Fast Food?
“I haven’t had a flu shot in four years. McDonalds, I came to you for my antibiotics,” said Nick Kroll.

    3) Should Marijuana be legalized?
“You know you are high when you’re driving around looking for your keys,” said Jay Pharoah.

    4) Online Dating Apps: Yay or Nay?
“Where did you two meet, Tinder? I wouldn’t swipe either of your asses,” said Jeff Ross.
