The Como Brothers Band recently finished their recording their new album Imagination EP. The Como Brothers Band came to Patchogue’s 89 North last Friday night to showcase the albums.
This event was sponsored by Long Island Cares, is a local charity founded by the late Harry Chapin. Their vision is to create a hunger- free Long Island. They provide food when and where needed, while promoting self- sufficiency and public education. People were asked to bring a non- perishable food item to donate.
The Janes were a R&B/ Pop all girl group started the night off right. They are Long Island natives. In my opinion there aren’t enough all girl groups an it was a pleasure watching one with such range. Speaking of range The Janes go from the age of 15 to 21!
American Idol contestant Alex Preston came on the stage next. He place 3rd in Season 13. He broke out of the Idol shackles and is now an Indie folk- singer armed with just a guitar. He sang a bevy of original songs.

Another Idoler came out this night- Sam Woolf. He placed 5th also in season 13. He too played some original pieces armed with just a guitar, but his rendition of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours” became an exciting sing along with the crowd.

The headliners, The Como Brothers came next performing original songs from their new EP “Imagination.” The Como Brothers Band are known for combining their love of blues, pop, and rock in their music. They have licensed their songs on TV shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians. The newest album was produced by Graham Marsh (of Bruno Mars and CeeLo Green fame) at Germano Studio, NYC.
