    Suicide Girls take over Manhattan

The internet changed the world. Communication became faster, more succinct. The world got smaller. People with similar tastes found each other. One of the best things that came out of the digital revolution was the Suicide Girls.

The Suicide Girls started as a website that features pinup photography of alternative type of girls. A Suicide Girl is an unconventional model. Most Suicide Girls are tattooed or pierced but they are beautiful. The Suicide Girls celebrates our differences- even though your nipple may be pierced or your ear stretched you are beautiful.

Since 2003, the Suicide Girls started a Burlesque Tour. LIB Magazine caught the Blackheart Burlesque Tour last week in Manhattan. The Blackheart Burlesque show is a traveling Vegas type of Tour that travels internationally. It was part old school Burlesque, part cosplay. Blackheart is sexy and fun.

Highlights from Blackheart Tour were the Donnie Darko tribute. Donnie Darko is a 2001 science fiction psychological thriller staring Jake Gyllenhaal. Gyllenhaal’s character is tormented by a monstrous rabbit named Frank. The Suicide Girls broke out the monstrous rabbit. We were also impressed with the Zelda portion. Who knew Link can be sexy as hell. The Marilyn Manson tribute was the best of the bunch. The driving bass line, paired the gorgeous girl in stage slithering around the stage was just amazing! When she dove off the stage it was sheer excitement.

Be on the lookout when they come back to New York.
