Aaron Lewis brought Country music to Long Island this past Saturday night. Growing up I listened to Aaron in the metal group “Stained”. It is different seeing him transition to country. According to Aaron he learned how to play guitar and sing country music from his grandfather.
Travis Martin opened up for Aaron and played a few great songs with his three piece band. After his set Travis was taking pictures with fans and signing autographs- very cool of him.
Aaron came out with his whole band and the Huntington crowd rose to their feet in anticipation. Aaron started the night by asking all the fans to remove their hats, as he said the Pledge of Allegiance. He went right into his first song “Country Boy” and began to play some country hits.
Halfway through his set he got his electric guitar and played a few song from his metal band “Staind.” Aaron and his band sounded amazing live and put on a great show. Aaron Lewis’s set list was over a hour long and kept the crowd rocking the whole night.
