Local film producer and publicist Dayna Ghiraldi premiered her first horror movie OLD 37 this week at Glen Cove Cinemas. OLD 37 is a horror film about two mentally disturbed brothers who pose as paramedics, intercept emergency calls, and torture injured victims seeking medical help. OLD 37 was filmed in Long Island towns including Patchogue, Hampton Bays, Farmingville, and Holtsville. This feature stars Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, and Miley Cyrus’ older sister, Brandi Cyrus. The movie also has a solid soundtrack with songs from The Used, Circa Survive, Night Riots, Sheppard, and many more. The OddBall Comedy and Curiosity Tour brought together the hottest stars in comedy. Long Island’s own Amy Schumer stole the show at Jones Beach. Schumer got her break in 2007 on Season 5 of Last Comic Standing when she came in 4th. The Billboard HOT 100 Festival broke single attendance records at Jones Beach. However, the musical acts that performed on the Beach and Samsung Level stages were outshined by the Hot 100 stage. The main amphitheater at Jones Beach was entirely General Admission and it was a chaotic mess to try to find seats.
