Remy Ma held a action packed concert at the Emporium this Saturday. Hot 97’s DJ Funk Flex was playing all Remy’s hits getting the crowd amped. Flex is a DJ known for the energy he gives to the crowd while spinning. About 2 am Remy Ma hit the stage to a thunderous applause. Remy came out singing “Whuteva,” with the crowd singing along. Memorial Day- the unofficial start of the summer has come and gone. For a lot of us Memorial Day means BBQs, the kick off of another season in the Hamptons, and the Jones Beach Air Show. The Jones Beach Air Show is now in it’s 13th year and it gets bigger and bigger. This weekend the Air Show smashed previous records in terms of attendance. The Emporium in Patchogue, had one of the most popular punk bands ever perform there Thursday, October 15,2015. The New Jersey based legends had been performing together for nearly 30 years. Pop punk band Patent Pending, fresh of an overseas tour came back home to Suffolk County at Amityville’s Revolution. The band originated in Mount Sinai, on the North Shore. The was a very nice homecoming. Lead singer and guitar player Joe Ragosta was incredible friendly and accommodating. The audience was upbeat and excited- I never seen Revolution so packed. Trey has released six spectacular albums during his chart-topping career; each selling slightly better then the previous release. Machine Gun Kelly brought his “Road Trippin’ Summer Tour” to the Paramount last weekend. MGK is a 25 year old rock/rapper signed to Bad Boy records. The show opened with King Los performing some of his hits, getting the crowd set for MGK. The crowd was filled with Kelly’s signature lace up t-shirts and bandannas. Aaron Lewis brought Country music to Long Island this past Saturday night. Growing up I listened to Aaron in the metal group “Stained”. It is different seeing him transition to country.
