Elton John Concert Dates Announced for Westpac Stadium

New Zealanders (and American jetsetters) are in for a treat. The one and only Sir Elton John announced a concert at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on November 21, 2015 at 8:00 PM.

Elton John was born with the name of Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947. He is a very well known and popular English singer and songwriter as well as a pianist, record producer, and even the occasional actor.  With a career span of more than five decades, this popular songwriter has sold more than 300 million records and has over fifty Top 40 hits, seven of which have reached No. 1 on the US albums charts.  Elton John is a six-time Grammy award winner and holds five Brit awards; the icon’s colorful career imminently resulted in his 1994 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.  Elton, however, says he is most proud of being asked to perform at many royal events, including the 1997 funeral of close friend Princess Diana at Westminster Abbey.

Sir Elton John is also heavily involved in the fight against AIDS since the late 1980s, having established the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

    Elton John’s Band

Elton John’s Band has been known by the same name since 1970. The name of the band is simply the Elton John Band. Of course the pianist and lead singer is Elton John himself.  While some changes occurred over the years, band members Nigel Olsson, Davey Johnstone and Ray Cooper have remained part of the Elton John legacy.

    The Concert At Westpac Stadium

The magic of Elton John will come alive on November 21, 2015 at 8:00 PM in the Westpac Stadium located in Wellington, New Zealand. Seeing a concert at Westpac Stadium will be no disappointment to fans: The venue is used mainly for sporting events, but is just as ideal for the show of a lifetime.

Westpac Stadium is located near to the heart of Wellington, making it ideal destination to be reached by car, on foot, riding the bus or even taking the ferry. Fans will not have any issues getting to and from the stadium, surrounded by restaurants and fast food outlets.  The same holds true for lodging, with multiple hotels in the area.

The music of Elton John has been around for many years and never seems to grow old. If you are an Elton John fan and want to attend one of his magnificent shows, get your tickets early!
