Indie-rock band Lakes released their second album, Fire Ahead on July 22nd via Armacost Records. The album features the popular track, “1992”. Culture Collide – a platform delivering fresh music from around the world – gave it a score of 83 saying, “Fire Ahead is one of those rare albums that sucks you in, only to have you realize 3 hours later that you’ve been listening to it on repeat.” It is said that the album has an overall nostalgic feel to it. The songs reflect the bands friendship, highs and lows, and lessons learned along the way.
The band members hailing from San Luis Obispo include Seth Roberts-lead vocalist- along with Jeremy Wells, Matthew Covington, and Jacob Wick.
Along with the release of their new album, was the release of upcoming tour dates. The remaining stops include Fresno, CA on August 6th at Audies Olympic and Sacramento, CA on August 21st at The Witch Room.
