The Emporium in Patchogue, had one of the most popular punk bands ever perform there Thursday, October 15,2015. The New Jersey based legends had been performing together for nearly 30 years. With nine classic albums under their belt and another on the way in December, the Long Island fans were in for a treat.
We talked to a lot of fans, and many of them were older punk rockers taking their kids to their first concert. The Bouncing Souls came out to a roaring ovation from the excited fans, as they went right into their first song “That Song.”
Quickly after the start of the set, a mosh pit developed, others went crowd surfing. All of the members of the band were super energetic bouncing and jumping around like they were still in there twenties.
Greg Attonito the lead singer held his microphone out into the crowd and the crowd sang along word for word. The Bouncing Souls performed for almost a hour and a half set with no break in between. My personal favorite moment of the concert was watching all the band members have huge smiles and hi fiving each other throughout the show.
The Bouncing Souls were spectacular live and even played two new songs of their upcoming album. Long Island fans left happy.
