Artist of the Week: Dune Local

    1
By LIB Staff on August 22, 2014 Art & Music

Dune Local originally began with the trio of Tristeen Caravella, John Loetscher of Hampton Bays and Austin Quinn of East Quogue: Longtime friends who grew up together on Long Island.  In the last few years, they began writing music together. Chris Hamilton, who is also from their home town area, linked up with DL and is currently playing bass for the band.
Dune Local has been described as a “harmonic blend” of the best of rock, reggae, blues, & hip hop – funneled into a powerful and unique sonic experience.  The band’s super-eclectic style is all their own, bringing a little something for everyone to the stage. Tristeen “T.Kissy” sings the vocals, Austin plays guitar, “Johnny Lo” is on percussion and Chris on bass.  The band’s popular songs include “Phoenix”, “Lost in the Sauce” and “I’ll See You There”.
