The Jazz Age exhibit comes to an end July 8th at the Nassau County Museum of Art, but no fret my pets, you will always be able to find something amazing to gaze upon on their grounds. A Mirror to Nature, a new sculpture by Marko Remec has been integrated.
David Filderman Gallery at the Hofstra University Museum is wrapping up its current exhibit at end of July. The second installation in a series of experimental visions sounds rather creative; a commercial press used for fine prints. Artists include Chuck Close, John Moore, Olga Moore, Italo Scanga, Salvatore Scarpitta, and Miriam Schapiro, to name a few.

Last month, artist Luisa Baptista invited me to accompany her to view the Brian Kirhagis exhibit E.A.R.T.H. at the Dean Borghi Fine Art gallery. If you have never seen Kirhagis’ work with your own eyes, you are missing out on some serious talent. The details are breath-taking. His work has a vulnerability and purity I have not seen.
If you haven’t already had a chance to check out the Marilyn Artus patriotic piece in the group show In Her Hands at the Robert Mann Gallery, go and enjoy yourself! Mixed media creates mixed emotions, gets you thinking about the whys and hows.
Onishi Gallery is currently showing some of the most remarkable photography exhibits. They’re thought-provoking, inspiring, and mesmerizing. As a photographer, I could stare at these exhibits for days.
