The Billboard HOT 100 Festival broke single attendance records at Jones Beach. However, the musical acts that performed on the Beach and Samsung Level stages were outshined by the Hot 100 stage. The main amphitheater at Jones Beach was entirely General Admission and it was a chaotic mess to try to find seats. Fans had to enter the amphitheater though the upper level and attempt to locate an empty seat. Fans were lined up in the aisles, blocking stairways causing a huge fire hazard. As result, many concert attendees did not want to leave the main stage to watch other artists in fear they would come back and not be able to find a seat. 1) After a one-year hiatus, Justin Bieber graced the stage like a seasoned professional; proving to all the haters that he can still sing and dance.
2) Lil Wayne surprised his girlfriend Christina Milian by performing a song with her on the Beach Stage.
3) The Maine, drew a large crowd to the Samsung Stage. “Thanks for showing up and not making this awkward,” said singer John O’Callaghan.
4) Nicki Minaj admitted “she’s got a thing for Long Island guys.” She also showed off her derriere in a see through outfit.
5) Jason Derulo entered the stage swagged out, wearing rhinestone-covered shoes. He also introduced the crowd to a new dance, the “Pull Up”.
6) Kiesza showed off her athletic ability by doing handstands on stage- very impressive.
7) The Weekend surprised the crowd by covering Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love.”
8) Violin extraordinaire Lindsey Sterling was pirouetting around the stage like a ballerina.
9) Rapper Fetty Wap leaped into the pit and injured two girls.
